I was hoping there could be advocation for less usage of file front and more places that can have the videos **streamed**. (no need to download, "with streaming, the client browser or plug-in can start displaying the data before the entire file has been transmitted")
Such as:
-google video http://video.google.com/
-putfile http://www.putfile.com/
-YouTube http://youtube.com/

Places not recommended but are out there

That means we can watch the movies in the browser right? without downloading it. If so, you have my support!

(Apologies if it means anything else, I can't help it I am a noob in computer/internet)

You missed a really obvious one - YouTube ( http://youtube.com/ )

Just thought I'd add that, as it's a popular alternative to Google Video

Actually, with a stream you're still downloading the movie - but you get to watch it while it downloads and it's automatically removed after you're done. (so no watching it on your PC after that, want to watch it again? stream all over again)

Anyway, YouTube and the like are certainly nice for low-quality or low-resolution material...
Unfortunately, for any file larger than 30 MB, you're much better off just providing a mirror... streams of large files are much more annoying than just having to wait for your download to finish while you play a game, watch something else, or whatever. (imo)

It's a shame filefront has become so slow during the past few months.
Last year it was still fairly fast...

Ofcourse, if you really want a fast download:
Host it on a high-upload FTP... or better yet, have several people with high uploads seed your file on a bittorrent tracker.
